2026-07-27 — Managed databases (Preview)​

Managed MariaDB​

  • The Distributed deployment model is renamed MultiAZ
  • Instance sizes now go up to 6X-Large (32 vCPU and 128 GiB of memory) and hot-extendable storage up to 512 GiB
  • Publication of the sizing recommendations explaining how the engine parameters are calibrated, with a warning about enabling performance_schema below the X-Large size
